Toxins come in many forms. The most obvious are the chemicals that have been added to our air, food and water supplies. In 2000 alone, more than 4 billion pounds of chemicals were released into the ground, and over 206 million pounds of chemicals were discharged into lakes and rivers, making fish unsafe to eat and water unsafe to drink or swim in. There are approximately 80,000 different chemicals we know of, with 2,300 new ones being added each year.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), more than 1,000,000 Americans drink water laced with pesticides.
In addition to chemical toxins, there are biological toxins, such as viral agents; physical toxins, such as radiation or trauma; and psychological toxins, which include chronic stress or emotional trauma.
Our bodies also create toxins through metabolic pathways such as having too much insulin or uric acid in the body. Finally, there are hypersensitivity toxins from food and seasonal allergies, such as peanuts and pollen.
The common symptoms you might experience if you have a toxin buildup in your system are: Allergies, Abdominal pain, Skin conditions, Sinus congestion, Immune weakness, Hormonal imbalance, Blood sugar problems, Headaches, Constipation, Mood swings, Fatigue, Difficulty concentrating, Joint pain and Chronic back pain.
Are toxins making you sick?
Did you know that research now connects many chronic health issues to the buildup of toxins in the body?
Heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, neurological diseases, depression, cancer and anxiety are just a few of the diseases linked to toxicity.
Even weight gain has been associated with chronic exposure to a common insecticide.
Rarely do we consider how clean we are internally. Unless we’ve been diagnosed with a life-changing illness, we might not change. However, if we understand the seriousness of toxin burden, and how simple it can be to clean it up, we can take the next critical steps towards improving our health.
I have done extensive research in this area. First of all:
I don't recommend a detox to anyone without first doing Allergy Screening and a Full Functional Blood work & Urine analysis. I want to make sure your body can support a good detox.
Most toxins within our bodies are stored in the fat cells. During Detox I want to make sure that your organs are properly supported so they can function optimally to ensure all toxins that are being released from with our fat cells are being excreted properly out of our system.
Based on your symptoms and your organ function, I will recommend a detox plan that not only gets you results fast, but also supports your body while you are going through it.
The detox plans I offer, cannot be purchased online and are only available through a clinic or doctor's office.
Book your Allergy Screening for you and your family members to understand what is causing issues in your health! These allergies and sensitivities will not go away on their own and only worsen if left alone. The sooner we work together, the better!
A typical Detox plan is about 15 days long. I have had patients see such good results from their detox that they continue it for 30 days or do it regularly every 6 months, but I generally recommend about 15 days.
If you follow the plan I develop specifically for you and make the lifestyle modifications, which are often crucial in any good detox, you will see results almost immediately (1-2 days).
Please see the chart of results from a typical detox (my most popular detox plan, that I recommend to my patients). As you can see, 65% report reduction in symptoms within 15 days. The average weight loss is about 7-9 lbs.
